Energy Trading & Policy Assistant - full remote, in Romania in Arad

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Energy Trading & Policy Assistant to join the ambitious and rapidly expanding organisation of our client. Our Client is an independent utility consultancy based in the UK. They procure and manage the energy, water, waste and telecoms requirements for some of the biggest UK brands. Specifically, the number of clients exploring flexible procurement strategies has increased exponentially and we are looking for a talented and experienced individual to help cater for this growing demand and ensure the entire proposition remains market-leading. This is a fully remote role, based in Romania. Specific roles and responsibilities include the following: Assist the Energy Trading & Policy Assistant with the trading of customers' energy requirements, with the only confines being any pre-agreed risk management strategies to which the successful candidate will take responsibility for working with end users to agree. Liaising with a variety of suppliers to execute trades and ensure that relationships remain strong and that we have a thorough understanding of trading parameters and opportunities. Working alongside our various sales and account management teams to discuss the benefits of flexible procurement with both existing clients and prospective customers responsible for substantive electric and gas consumption. Providing full and regular reporting on the performance of flexible procurement strategies against a variety of metrics including prevailing markets. This is to include presentations and internal training as required. Providing ongoing market intelligence and commentary for both customers and internal stakeholders. This is also likely to include providing thought leadership publications and case studies to assist our PR and marketing teams as required. Keeping abreast of relevant industry changes to include, but not be restricted to, non-energy cost evolution, opportunities for carbon efficiency within the flexible procurement space and supplier product changes. Specific Skills and experience that will be required Ideally expertise in the Energy Market, particularly in the area of flexible procurement and non-energy costs or other markets The ability to analyse, interpret and report on various data sets and trading performance. Good skills across all facets of the communication spectrum. The ability to work as part of a team and be proactive in making suggestions and taking relevant action in order to achieve continued growth.
