What's the role?
Security, Privacy, and Continuity (SPC) is a centralized organization that secures HERE products and services, ensures best-in-class security and privacy for customers and employees, and protects the organization against physical and virtual threats. SPC is a globally distributed team of security and privacy professionals and is growing to keep pace with HERE's expanding business and customer bases.
HERE Crypto Services
The HCS is a product security solution team of about half a dozen folks. We are currently all in the US, spread around different states from east to west coast. As the name suggests we cover everyting from application signing, PKI and Secrets Management for the global HERE Organization. Our solutions ensure external customers that their vehicles’ map updates are safe and have not been hacked, thus not installing a virus or malware on their car infotainment system.
We also support various internal teams by helping them manage access to privileged or sensitive information, indirectly protecting the company’s intellectual property. In addition to that we help internal teams securely (cryptographically) sign their HERE Android apps and Windows installers so that our external users don’t have to worry about the origins of the files and apps there are installing on their devices and machines.
Our systems span both the cloud (AWS) and HERE data centers where our crypto hardware is located, we provide services that have to be both secure and highly available all the time. Because of that we are a very agile team with lots of cross functional experience across systems, devops and software development fields.
The role:
As a Lead Software Engineer you are passionate about all things related to security. In the technical role you will assure broad responsibilities in securing and reviewing security state of various solutions used or developed by the team. You will use your experience and collaborate with the rest of the team on ways of improving current solutions as well as creating and enhancing the features our customers need.
furthermore you:
- develop and maintain intenal tools to be used for security related task automation
- coordinate and participate in test and pilots of security product to be utilized by HERE Technologies
Who are you?
- BS or higher degree in Computing Science or equivalent
- Participate in agile planning/development activities
- Relevant work experience in application development 5+ years
- Full Software development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with tools such as (but not limited to) Jenkins, GitLab and Docker
- Experience with writing software in (but not limited to) Java, Python, Go
- Experience with Cloud/Web technologies including (but preferable) AWS
- Coordinate and participate in tests and pilots of security products to be utilized by HERE
