We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sourcing and Procurement to lead and continuously improve our company's purchasing operations in Arges. The role requires a strong balance between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, combining cost optimization, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sound, cost-effective strategic sourcing and procurement strategies for all materials, components, and services used in the business, focusing on total cost of ownership, quality, and supply reliability.
Proactively scout, evaluate, and onboard new vendors globally while maintaining strong, collaborative long-term relationships with existing strategic suppliers.
Continuously analyze spending patterns, conduct in-depth cost analyses, set challenging benchmarks, and identify innovative ways to improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance delivery timeliness.
Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, volume commitments, quality clauses, and cost-down programs - delivering measurable annual savings and value creation.
Lead risk management initiatives: develop procedures to mitigate supply disruptions, shortages, geopolitical risks, price volatility, and other potential losses.
Supervise, motivate, and develop a high-performing purchasing / sourcing team; delegate tasks effectively across departments, foster accountability, and build a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (including Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Legal) to align procurement activities with business needs and ensure smooth flow of goods and services that support production targets.
Regularly communicate with senior management on procurement performance, savings achieved, supply risks, market trends, and opportunities for optimization.
Work hand-in-hand with the Legal department to draft, review, and secure favorable contract terms, clauses, and protections for the company.
Drive entrepreneurial initiatives such as make-or-buy analyses, alternative material sourcing, nearshoring/reshoring projects, supplier development programs, and digital procurement tools to stay ahead of the market.
Requirements
Proven experience (5+ years) in sourcing, procurement, or purchasing management, preferably in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
Strong leadership abilities: experience supervising teams, delegating effectively, and inspiring performance under pressure.
Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, opportunity-driven, comfortable taking calculated risks, and thinking like an owner to generate business impact.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and cost-management skills; ability to perform detailed cost breakdowns and should-cost modeling.
Solid understanding of supplier relationship management, contract law basics, risk assessment, and supply chain resilience.
Active, energetic personal style - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and drives results independently.
Proficiency in English.
