Program Purchasing Manager will lead the Program Purchasing Buyers team and ensure that the right and most efficient work instructions, processes and systems are in place for the team.Your RoleIn your daily job you will:Lead the Program Purchasing Buyers teamEnsure compliance with SCM policies, common processes and strategiesDevelop and coach the team and the individual team members and drive continuous improvement of team performanceLeadership and coordination of all purchasing activities related to new program launchesDefine and drive recovery plan where applicableAct as the interface between SCM and other functions for all direct material related issues within Program Development ProcessDevelop a plan and drive execution to meet/exceed material cost budget for respective programContribute to YoY material cost reduction target by initiating and supporting performance initiatives (VA/VE, material usage, commercial link&leverage, look across)Responsible to develop best material cost option and own purchasing part of engineering change management process to support profitability increaseCommunication and implementation of customer requirements within the purchasing organization and respective supply chainProvide best material cost strategy for new business acquisition to support sustainable growth strategy Your BackgroundKey ingredients for succeeding in this role are:Engineering degree and/or degree in economicsExperience in international team managementStrategic and enterprise thinkingStrong experience in automotive procurement in international matrix organizationsFluent English Why join us?You can grow at Aptiv.
