About the Role
The Simulator Technician Staff Senior performs F-16 Simulation operation and maintenance supporting both formal training and operational environments. Candidate must have experience with computer networking. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to work within an operations team along with close customer interactions. Position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques. Candidates must possess the ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Candidate is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Lockheed Martin F-16 simulator operation. Candidates will be required to develop and maintain procedures and support the program’s Configuration Management (CM) process. Candidate conducts frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
The duties include but are not limited to:
• F-16 Simulator operation, maintenance, sustainment and troubleshooting
• Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Push/install new DAT files, file maintenance, backups, troubleshooting hardware issues with vendors, and password updates.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
• Experienced in IT Simulation support
• Experienced in Romanian Air Force Program Management support
• Experience with Windows 10 or higher
• Linux System Administrator
• Windows System Administrator
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in working with Lockheed Martin F-16 Simulator components and services
• Understanding of F-16 avionics
• Proficiency in various operating systems, such as Linux/Unix, Windows Server
• Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management
• Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions
• Troubleshooting hardware issues and coordinating with Lockheed Martin program managers for support
• Be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment
• Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
• Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Romanian Air Force facility.
