The Software Engineering Manager is a technical leader for a team of engineers delivering solutions to our customers. Responsibilities: Lead a distributed team of engineers to deliver software or hardware solutions that meet customer needs.Collaborate with Product Management and User Experience to design and deliver new product features. Advises on technology and solution options.Implement efficient engineering processes, ensuring the team is operating with high velocity while still delivering quality software or hardware solutions. May facilitate scrum and scaled agile events for the team. May make recommendations for process improvements across the organization.Mentor and guide engineers as they grow in their skills and capabilities. Applies technical expertise to review work and provide timely coaching for growth.Lead the engineering team in the estimation and sizing of work in order to assist in building a plan for delivery.Guide the team in developing high-quality, secure, compliant, robust, performant, and reliable systemsInteract with support and operations teams to ensure that issues are understood and resolved in a timely mannerLead recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for engineers to join the team.Provide direction to employees to ensure compliance with corporate policies.Occasionally provide oversight for consultants and vendors. Qualifications & Experience CS or Engineering Degree with 5 Plus years of ExperiencePrevious leadership experience with at least 2 years leading teamsProven understanding of Agile methodologies using Scrum and SAFeExperience with native mobile app development, Android & iOSExperience in successfully delivering SaaS services to customersExperience with architecture and software design patternsExperience with software testing and test automation Bonus if experienced in: Languages including Objective C, Swift, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, KotlinJavaScript frameworks such as React.js, ExpressTest automationExperience with cloud-native development, AWS preferred Promethean is honored to be an equal opportunity workplace.
