We are looking to hire a Structural Engineer with a background in offshore/marine structure analysis to join our engineering team in Constanta. You will be part of our growing team in Constanta, and work with ABL Group offices and teams globally. As our Structural Engineer, you will work as part of a team and perform duties including but not limited to design, review, calculations and analysis for various Naval Architectural elements about Offshore/Maritime structures. In addition, you will: Prepare design analyses, concepts and details, for various fixed/floating offshore structures by international codes and standards. Conduct calculations for design and plan appraisal purposes. Assess the stability of offshore/marine structures. Ensure projects meet client requirements and classification rules and regulations. Be responsible for deliverables to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs, HSE and quality standards established by ABL and/or the Client. Attend regular internal meetings and external/third-party meetings as required. Ensure all deliverables are carried out by ABL policies and procedures. Participate in design reviews, audits and Naval Architectural-related reviews. Evaluate and prepare concept selection reports and basis for design. Other duties as assigned. The role is based in Constanta, and the incumbent has the right to work and reside in Romania. The role is primarily office-based, with a requirement for onsite and offshore attendance and time with clients. What we are looking for. We are looking for a driven, insightful, proactive, and enthusiastic professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments. Someone with attention to detail a high level of integrity and diplomacy, and the ability to prioritize work. The successful candidate will be well organized, self-directed, and have great interpersonal skills and a global mindset. In addition, you: Hold a degree in Degree qualification in Naval Architecture or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience and relevant expertise with offshore fixed and mobile structures Sound knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to structural analysis & designs. Full understanding of classification societies and their design requirements. Spatial awareness with the ability to demonstrate skilled knowledge in analyzing technical solutions. Working knowledge of engineering principles and practices Working knowledge of basic principles of design, systems design and installation, mathematics. Ability to select and apply standard guides, methods, and techniques. Computer literate with practical experience in Structural Analysis of marine and/or offshore structures. Should be capable of working independently, while managing project budgets and schedules preferably. Must be able to effectively cope with the workload through planning, prioritizing, and efficient delegation of work. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, being able to develop relationships with project teams, and existing and potential clients. What is in it for you?
