We are on a global quest to expand our team with the best talent!! We are looking for an experienced and talented WordPress Lead Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. You will work closely with our designers, project managers, and developers to create innovative and user-friendly web solutions. Your technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and passion for WordPress development will help drive our company's success. Responsibilities: Meeting with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss requirements, design and functionCollaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met, timelines are adhered to, and delivery expectations are exceeded.Lead and manage a team of WordPress developers, providing guidance on best practices and coding standards.Ability to manage and deliver projects autonomously, while reducing dependencies on external teamsDevelop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.Collaborate with the design team to create responsive, mobile-friendly, and visually appealing websites.Provide technical expertise and support for all aspects of WordPress development, including custom post types, taxonomies, and APIs.Optimize websites for search engines and page load times, ensuring an optimal user experience.Monitor the performance of live websites.Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress development.Implement and maintain website security measures, such as SSL certificates, backups, and malware protection.Develop and maintain detailed documentation for project specifications, custom functionality, and troubleshooting. Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.2+ years of leading a development teamProficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.Experience with modern web development tools, such as Git, Webpack, and Sass.Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development approaches.Strong understanding of WordPress coding standards and best practices.Experience with website optimization techniques and tools, such as Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse.Familiarity with SEO best practices and implementation.Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.Proficient in using Figma for web design purposes. Nice to Have:Experience with GitLab for version control and collaboration.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their implementation.Experience working with Docker for containerization and environment management.Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
