Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include maintaining and developing applications and infrastructure for the Analytics Technology Business within the Information Services Division. Projects will be based on candidate's skills and interests. This position requires and rewards candidates with strong personal initiative, work ethic, and the ability to develop code for fixed income markets. It is a coding intensive position, where the developer will be working with other team members to find solutions to complex problems in a clean and efficient way.Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:Developing and maintaining RESTful API services to support both external and internal clients;Maintaining, designing, and setting up infrastructure to support various applications;Maintaining and improving the existing compute infrastructure;Migrating applications to cloud seamlessly so that there is no service disruption;Working on products used by leading financial institutions world-wide;Strategic project involvement which will make a significant impact to the business bottom line.Education/SkillsMaster degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics or related fields with high academic standing;0-3 years work experience;Excellent programming skills in Java;Programming skills in C++ (preferred) and/or C are a plus;Understanding of networking (TCP, RPC) and Linux system calls is a plus;Strong analytical background and quantitative skills;Experience with scripting languages is a plus;Good knowledge of Linux/Windows environments;Experience with AWS cloud technologies a plus;Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities is a plus;Past internship experience in financial services industry is a plus.We are looking for intellectually curious people, interested in the bigger picture of how the technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios.
