What will you contribute? The Treasury Engineering team is a group of business and technology professionals qualified with diverse and specialized skills and backgrounds gained with large financial institutions, technology providers and Finastra. You'll be working on the latest technologies and you’ll be helping banks’ Treasury and Capital Markets division transform their technology, simplify their system architecture and streamline their operating model to support growth, optimize cost and lower operational risk. Responsibilities Participates in software design meetings and analyses user needs to determine technical requirements. Design develop high-quality code. Test, debug, analyse and fix application problems/issues. Work closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion. Follow the software development life-cycle process. Other duties and projects as assigned The Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience Strong C, C++ (including OO and STL) with 3+ years’ experience in software development Advanced C++ concepts: Design patterns, callbacks, abstract data types, C++ frameworks Eager to learn and adapt to other technologies: Java, HTML5, Kafka, NoSQL Excellent understanding of SQL and experience in at least one of the following database: Sybase, Oracle, DB2 or MSSQL. Unix strong experience Software Development Life-cycle Experience working on projects using Agile methodology and/or test driven development an advantage Experience with industry standard tools for debugging, performance profiling, memory management, code coverage Qualified at degree level in computer engineering/programming
