Role Purpose
Analyse, design, engineer and deliver specific Data Core information systems and IP LAN (Office, Data Centres and GiLAN) for Global Network Engineering external customers (European Vodafone markets). They overlook the horizontal view of all the European Market deliveries to identify synergies, coordinate analysis related to above information systems, ensuring timely delivery; analysis the potential synergies of the processes across markets and departments; harmonizing the implementation standard and guidelines across markets and departments.
Key Accountabilities
- Analysis and create harmonization standard and guidance across countries and departments
- Support budget cycles and budget mobilization
- Performs analysis for defining the technical specifications related to the Data Core information systems according to the client requirements
- Coordinates (with other Data Core domain specialists) and creates client specific software & hardware design guidelines & methods for Data Core information systems (in the Packet Switched domain or IPLAN domain)
- Define software/hardware requirements for Data Core information systems build
- Establish software update plans for relevant information systems in order to deliver new product capabilities to customers
- Prioritization, coordination of Data Core development analysis aligned with group guidelines, ensure delivery according to agreed time plan
- Analyse and evaluate new hardware and software technologies for designing and building innovative and more efficient information systems in order to meet client requirements.
Core Competencies
- Knowledge of IPLAN domain information systems (as mentioned in purpose)
- Knowledge of process design
- Good understanding of the SW lifecycle: design, development, testing and acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting
- Knowledge agile methodology
- Ability to work within virtual teams and interface with multi-national clients
- University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent
- Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT.
