Java Technical Manager in Craiova

Job Description Role Overview:In the Senior Manager, Java Engineering role, you’ll be writing code and leading projects to production using best practices, valuable experience and professionalism. This is a leadership position in our growing software engineering organization with many ongoing projects.Primary Responsibilities:Provides technical leadership, develops, mentors and provides guidance, training and motivation as necessaryProvide senior-level expertise in an initiative to build or re-platform select business services as APIs for internal and external consumptionParticipates in code reviews and sets performance and best practice standardsActs as an individual contributor and participates in design and development of applications using web technologiesIs highly functional on large, matrixed project teams. Interfaces with cross functional team members, including database administrator, IT security, project manager, technical writer and clients. Ensures consistency of the knowledge and skills, sharing best practices and common challenges in their area and others. Maintains current knowledge of development methodology, architecture design, and technical standardsWork as part of the engineering leadership team to grow our organization, maintain our high standards of quality and reliability, while delivering on commitmentsAlign with direct reports on deliverables and team goals being metMaintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good SDLC practices and leading by exampleRequired Qualifications:8+ years background in Java development and thorough SDLC knowledgeFamiliar and experienced with significant changes in Java8+Deep understanding of OOP conceptsExperience with Java, REST and MicroservicesExperience using CI/CD pipeline tools like Bamboo, JenkinsExperience with Maven/Gradle and understanding of continuous build/deliveryExperience with version control (GIT, SVN)Basic understanding of networking and security best practicesExperience with databases (relational databases and non-relational databases)Familiarity with agile development methodologiesGreat design and problem-solving skills, passion for quality and engineering excellence at scaleStrong analysis skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with other languages besides Java : Angular 9+, Python, C#Experience with messaging models, search indexing, distributed cachingCloud experience is a plus Education Type A levels
