The Jitsi team at 8x8 is the team behind all the Jitsi open-source projects from web and mobile projects like Jitsi Meet to backend like Jitsi Video bridge, Jibri (for video recordings), Jigasi (for dial-in functionalities) or 8x8 Spaces, which is our conference rooms’ solution. You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary and versatile team with tremendous experience in real-time communications software (WebRTC). As a video conferencing team we’re proud to be fully distributed and working together from around the world. Responsibilities:
- Full stack web application development with a variety of coding languages
- Implement web or mobile interfaces using React, React Native, Redux, CSS, and JavaScript
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain code
- Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and integrations
- Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end services
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Real-time communications, WebRTC experience is an advantage although training will be provided
- Experience contributing to open-source projects
- Proven programming experience including knowledge of JavaScript and React
- Understanding of Open-source
- Track record of relevant experience building large-scale applications
