Purpose Statement: Provide a direct interface between assigned customers, Plexus manufacturing operations and other Plexus functions, as required. Serve as the Technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) to foresee, present and resolve problems related to manufacturing operations. Drive continuous improvement to achieve customer excellence, operational excellence and achieve Plexus financial goals. Key Job Accountabilities: Highlight and escalate any area of the business which may impact Customer Service Excellence with regard to product delivery. Perform role in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures and designated Work Instructions to ensure accuracy within the organisation. Liaise with Production Planning to execute a plan which results in product shipping on-time. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, and new business opportunities. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times. Perform supply demand analysis each month, highlighting areas of concern for the next twelve (12) months. Additional Accountabilities: Create and apply standard work methods across multiple sites serving a customer. Support customer management meetings by being a member of the customer management team. Support pricing and quotation work when required. Understand Industry regulatory and quality standards and apply these to the customer account Ensure PLXS-MFG sites comply. Supporting Quality Management System applied to customer account. Manage Transitions and New Product Introduction Programs related to the customer account. Where appropriate maintain a working presence within the customer facility. Acknowledges and complies with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards provided in the procedures and instructions that are specific to each field, documentation that underlies the proper functioning of the integrated management system of quality, environment, safety and occupational health. Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 50%). Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required. Ten (10) years of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred. Required experience must include direct experience in EMS manufacturing operations. Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma skills and experience required; Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt highly desired. Demonstrated success in delivering customer excellence, including representing customer needs and translating needs into effective solutions. Experience managing complex projects and programs is required. Formal project management certification is highly desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered. Other Qualifications: Expertise in EMS manufacturing, including low volume high mix product technology, supply chain. Understanding of business concepts and finance (P&L), cost models, pricing and cost recovery. Effective negotiation skills Strong ability to think strategically and proactively solve problems, including making timely and effective decisions in complex and ambiguous situations. Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and projects. Proven ability to influence others, including relationship-building, conflict resolution and leadership competencies as defined by the company. Ability to lead without formal authority. Ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence internal and external decision makers. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corp in a professional manner. Ability to operate effectively and lead change in a multi-cultural environment. Knowledge of MiniTab or other statistical tools is desired. General office equipment and materials. Work Environment: The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
