The role
Are you an experienced database administrator with experience in working with a variety of relational database platforms and a solid understanding of non-relational / no-SQL databases? Do you want to start using this knowledge in a new direction that involves consultancy? Then look no further and join us!
You have experience working as a database administrator in enterprises of different sizes. You've worked with a variety of relational database platforms but you also have a solid understanding of non-relational / no-SQL databases. You stay up-to-date with the latest changes in the technologies you work with and you are engaged in on-line communities where these technologies are discussed. You have acquired a good understanding of high level concepts related to database platforms and gained knowledge about the trends in the industry.
You will be supporting the delivery of consultancy services related to database software compliance. You will have to understand the deployment of customers' software licenses and you will help them optimize and remediate this deployment. You are also expected to extend and improve the service by continuously aligning it with new releases made by software publishers and by integrating solutions to general problems encountered by customers. You will be working in a team where knowledge is shared and improvements are made collaboratively.

What we need to see from you
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an oracle database administrator
- Experience as a database administrator for other databases, both relational and non-relational
- Solid SQL skills
- Knowledge of UNIX shell / Windows batch scripting
- Ideally you have basic Python knowledge
- You are eager to expand your knowledge and share what you know with colleagues
- You enjoy working in a team, but are able to work independently as well
- Fluent in English and having worked in international, English-speaking environments
- You have an analytical mind and eye for detail
