CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist with the creation, administration and overall management of the company’s contracts and proposals activities.

The Senior Proposals Engineer roles and responsibilities include:

A. Sales Strategy & Implementation

  • Prepare proposals, contracts and contract amendments. Responsibilities include proposal and change order preparation, payment schedule generation, task order creation and internal budget.
  • Manage the proposal or change order process, setting timelines for completion, including critical path interim milestones and accountabilities, and contingencies in the event these milestones are not achieved. Proactively escalate issues and/or propose solutions to meet target delivery dates.
  • Submit deliverables accurately and timely.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and project management, to ensure alignment on sales goals and customer requirements.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

B. Market Analysis & Research

  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs to stay ahead of market changes and adapt sales strategies accordingly, analysing the success of past sales and marketing campaigns.

Qualification & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related field, preferably within the maritime or offshore energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of technical sales and the maritime industry, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to customers.
  • Excellent research, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
