Job Description Mechanical Design Engineer: Designing and modeling suite components of products to meet program requirements, while ensuring designs meet cost and weight targets. Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Selection and application of appropriate materials and processes for each element. Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation (using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA). Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets. Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process. Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines. Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams. Preparing drawings and models for approval. Electrical Design Engineer: Expertise in 3D harness design, electrical schematics, and block diagrams. Designing and integrating electrical systems ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer requirements. Generating 2D/3D electrical installation and systems designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software. Participating in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product introduction (NPI) process. Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and OEMs. Ensuring the successful integration of each design element within the product Participating in the validation of the product using methods such as prototyping, test, etc. Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines. Qualifications Qualifications Mechanical Design Engineer: Solid design engineering track record Proficient with 3D CAD / CATIA / Smarteam Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly BMS Documentation - ECRs / Engineering changes experience Knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive seat design and surfaces would be an advantage Knowledge of Mechanical moving parts (mechanisms) would be a bonus Excellent communication skills Self-motivated and capable of independent decision-makingQualifications Mechanical Design Engineer:Qualifications Electrical Design Engineer: Qualifications Electrical Design Engineer: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Alternatively, an HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification as part of an Electrical Apprenticeship. Experience with 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software packages or equivalent. Should be familiar with the effective application of tolerances and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and OEM installation requirements. Ability to read design drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive Seat design would be an advantage Knowledge of Electrical applications for mechanical moving parts (mechanisms) would be a bonus Must communicate and liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, OEMs and the integrated programme team daily. Flexibility, as you may be required to undertake tasks outside of your normal duties requested by your immediate supervisors.
