Your Mission Your mission: you, as an Associate Legal Counsel, you will play an important role in the Technology Legal function. As a primary responsibility, you will support and offer advice to stakeholders and have an open channel with the extended legal team on the applicable area(s) of expertise - product compliance (consumer protection, privacy, product liability, AI, etc.), technology and M&A contracts, and intellectual property.The Technology Legal team is a team of professionals with expertise in various areas, including intellectual property, M&A, and data protection, and is part of the overall UiPath Legal family. The team supports UiPath’s mission through close alignment and timely engagement with stakeholders in Product & Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and others, as needed. What you'll do at UiPathMonitor and keep current on relevant industry standards, laws, and regulations, and provide advice on a dynamic range of issues related to compliance with those laws, regulations, and industry standardsReview, draft, and negotiate various types of agreements and licenses, including technology partnerships, procurement agreements, and software licenses, including open-source software licensesOffer legal compliance advice in the product development lifecycle, review products, features, and initiatives to provide advice consistent with UiPath’s legal obligations in multiple jurisdictionsSupport on intellectual property protection and registration internal and external formalitiesMay support with legal assistance in the company’s mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate development initiativesMonitor and support the management of inbound and/or outbound claims, proceedings, or litigation, on their area(s) of expertiseDraft clear and concise public facing FAQs and policies, disclosures, disclaimers, terms of use, and internal policiesProvide advice and legal opinions to cross-functional stakeholders, including Product & Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, People, and others, as neededSupport with the creation and maintenance of policy and contract templates together with applicable playbooks and escalation matricesContribute to know-how and help with dissemination within legal and with stakeholders outside of legal, including content creation and delivery of trainingCollaborate within legal and with business owners to help drive company strategy, improve associated processes and ensure business demands are satisfied What you'll bring to the teamBA and MA in law from a reputable universityRelevant technical degree or high level of comfort with technology are nice to haveAt least 3 years of relevant legal experienceFluent in English + other languages are a plusProficient with Microsoft Office toolsA very good understanding of landscape and substantive provisions of international laws relevant to the roleInterest in learning industry standards and market practiceA great understanding of issues relevant for the roleComfortable with learning new legal areas and skillsVery good understanding of the company’s technology and profile; good understanding of the TAM, competitors, and the industry landscapeStrong interpersonal skills and collegial attitudeCollaborative team player who cherishes working with othersAbility to work on projects based on global strategies with a forward-looking approachAbility to manage workload effectively and knows when to reach out for helpAbility to propose decision options based on factsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skills#LI-CS1 Maybe you don’t tick all the boxes above— but still think you’d be great for the job?
