Job Purpose
Work with Head of Automation, as well as other key stakeholders across the organization, to ensure alignment with company vision, business goals and a continuous improvement agenda. You will play a key role in ensuring Global Automation objectives are met, ensuring that they are delivered with required quality, on time and within budget. This will enable colleagues across the organization to perform more effectively and efficiently, diverting their time and energy to more rewarding and higher-value activities with time saved.
Key responsibilities
- Line reporting to the Head of Automation, working closely with Automation Centre of Excellence, Operational Excellence, Lines-of-Business and key partners;
- Ensure no avoidable impediments to automation adoption and benefits realization, in accordance with expectations and aligned with TMF standards;
- Track automation roadmap progress and capability maturity, providing regular, accurate and appropriate reporting to stakeholders;
- Champion and evangelize Automation technology as applicable to TMF needs and growth agenda;
- Attend opportunity assessment and solution design workshops;
- Lead establishment of automation technology and tools that improve business operations, employee experience and client satisfaction, applying incremental change, through iterative lifecycles, using integrated toolchains and supporting metrics;
- Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospective meetings, solution demo’s & proofs-of-concept;
- Assist with and/or facilitate high-value global solutions for global operations and local solutions for reuse within local operations;
- Produce architecture content & assets, that help facilitate global adoption, driving consistent quality and predictable outcomes.
Key requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience – from both technological and operational environment;
- Relevant certifications or qualifications preferred, but not essential; TOGAF and SAFe certifications are an advantage or similar;
- Good knowledge of the English language both verbally and written; multi-lingual a benefit;
- Good architecture understanding of middleware technologies and related tools, particularly automation related, such as RPA, Data Preparation, Integration, Machine Learning, Chatbots;
- Comfortable working with Collaboration Tools and Productivity Suites, particularly Microsoft 365;
- Experience and knowledge of Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in particular;
- Problem-solving and root cause identification skills;
- Familiar with preparing cost/benefits analysis, business cases and commercial plans, working closely with Finance, Legal and Procurement as applicable;
- Familiar with risk assessment and management;
- Willing to drive new insight into potential operational improvement or improved Client satisfaction that is derived from increased automation within lines of business;
- Able to work effectively at all levels, including with key external clients and partners if required;
- Lead a team, navigate them through complex processes to self-sufficiency.
