A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role you will take ownership for overall preparation of proposals, and both guide and assist other team members in offering and selling complete engineering solutions for Control & Protection Systems. The work involves direct customer contact, building and championing strong relationships with key individuals within Siemens Energy, as well as with End users and EPC’s. Collaboration with international customers, partners and working with a multinational team in an international environment. You will be leading cross-functional and cross-disciplinary teams!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Review invitation to tender documentation, customers specifications and understand the project drivers for all opportunities as well as preparation of Bid – No Bid documentation and obtaining authorization to bid.
  • Prepare and compile proposal documentation ensuring that the proposal submission is of a high quality and aligned with customer requirements / instructions and internal procedures.
  • Attend customer pre-tender clarification meetings / presentations to ensure scope is fully clarified and understood and liaise closely with Engineering, Procurement and Commercial functions in leading external supplier / subcontractor enquiries.
  • Receive, review, and clarify all internal and external supplier / subcontractor inputs to ensure consistency with the tender requirements and all interfaces are coordinated.
  • Develop the price calculation based on internal cost estimates, supplier/subcontractor prices and assuring margins in line with business targets.
  • Prepare or coordinate preparation of Proposal letter, Calculation Sheet, Cashflow, Limits of Authorization, Procurement Schedule, Risk Register etc and obtain management approval in accordance with current signature protocols and internal requirements, as well as always maintain clear visibility of bid progress and ensure management is informed of progress and key events / developments throughout the tender process.
  • What You Bring

  • University Degree in Power Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in sales with the End users and/or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) companies in proposal management
  • Basic knowledge of oil and gas/petrochemical industry
  • The ability to make independent decisions and recommendations to management considering all risks and opportunities and to show leadership whilst doing so
  • The ability to lead and coordinate proposal team and drive proposal preparation process
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English and in Microsoft Office suite
