The Commercial Director is responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy for wind energy services, with a strong focus on Major Component Upgrades (MCU), corrective and scheduled maintenance, and installation projects.

The role requires proven, hands-on experience in the wind industry, supported by an established professional network and active commercial relationships with wind turbine manufacturers (OEMs) and key industry stakeholders across Europe.

This role engages frequently with strategic partners located internationally with a current focus on Europe, but it can expand to other areas as well.

  • (E-INFRA Group) Location : Constanta (Lumina) – preferred, Bucharest  can be an option Travel : International travel required   Key responsibilities:   Develop and implement the commercial strategy for wind O&M, MCU, and installation activities.

    Define opportunity win strategy and coordinate internal inputs through bid governance.

  •   Drive sustainable revenue growth and margin optimization across international markets.
  •   Identify, structure, and secure new business opportunities with wind turbine manufacturers (OEMs), utilities, IPPs, and EPC contractors.
  •   Leverage existing industry relationships to generate early visibility on upcoming projects and frameworks.

    Own and report a structured commercial pipeline Maintain and expand direct commercial relationships with wind turbine OEMs (e.g.

    GE Vernova, Vestas, Nordex, Siemens Gamesa etc.).

    Act as the primary commercial point of contact for OEM-driven projects and frame agreements.

    Utilize established professional networks to support preferred-supplier positioning and long-term cooperation models.

    Represent the company at industry events, OEM meetings, and strategic workshops.

  •   Lead commercial discussions from early opportunity identification through contract award.
  •   Negotiate framework agreements, lump-sum, and hourly-based contracts for MCU, maintenance, and installation scopes.

    Build long-term, trust-based partnerships focused on predictability, scalability, and mutual growth.

  •   Support geographic expansion into new markets using existing and newly developed networks.

    Monitor market trends, OEM strategies, competitor positioning, and pricing benchmarks.

  •   [WESEE] Track and report key commercial KPIs (order intake, backlog, margins, pipeline maturity, hit rate).
  •   Provide structured commercial insights and recommendations to executive management.
  •   Oversee the preparation of commercial proposals and tenders (RFPs, RFQs).
  •   Define pricing strategies, cost assumptions, and risk allocation in cooperation with Operations and Finance.
  •   Lead contract negotiations, including commercial terms, escalation clauses, liabilities, and risk-sharing mechanisms.
  •   Ensure commercial robustness and alignment with operational capabilities.
  •   Work closely with Operations, Project Management, HSE, Supply Chain, and Finance to align commercial commitments with delivery capacity.
  •   Support contract handover and execution phases where commercial input is required.
  •   Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
  •   Qualifications & experience required:   Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  •   4+ years of proven experience in the wind energy sector, with a strong commercial or business development background.
  •   Demonstrated direct commercial experience with wind turbine manufacturers (OEMs).
  •   Established professional network within the wind industry (OEMs, asset owners, crane providers, utilities, EPCs).
  •   Proven success in securing MCU, O&M, or installation contracts.
  •   Strong understanding of wind turbine technologies, project execution models, and cost structures.
  •   Solid financial and contractual negotiation skills.
  •   English: Fluent (mandatory)   Additional European languages are a strong advantage.
  •   Skills & competencies:   Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities.
  •   Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, execution-focused approach.
  •   High credibility in OEM-facing discussions.
  •   Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
