ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Corporate Finance Analyst will be a part of GBS R2R P&R&CFOM SEA Team, responsible for Malta Corporate Finance.

Geographic Scope: Global
Contributing to Operational Performance in the Corporate Finance space, Point of contact for GBS Relationship Manager and the other Service Lines, Monitoring operational KPIs in collaboration with GBS, Bi-annual Data Cleansing (e-flow, SIM, CC, JVU, Vendors, Customers) Controls & Risk: Control Navigator, Risk register, Insurance questionnaire, Segregation of Duties Conflicts Review for EM users, Ensuring Delegation of Authorities in place: reviewing system access, etc. Cash management between IHC and Local bank accounts, BATCASH monitoring and submission assistance Perform/coordinate Period End Closure activities (i.e. GL Transactions, Accruals, Bad Debts, IFRS16 Calculations and JVU preparation), Statutory Accounting and Authorities questionnaires (additional disclosures, collection of data etc.), Intercompany accounting, Fixed Assets, Creation of PO’s directs, Assistance in acquiring data for VAT returns External Audit Support as may be required by Local Finance Manager responsible for audit local Ad-hoc reporting assistance as may be required by Finance Manager Regular engagement with: Malta Corporate Finance Manager, GMCI local EM functions, such as SPI, Supply Chain, Marketing Finance etc., GBS P&R, GBS Relationship Manager, GBS Service Lines (GL, IGT, O2C, P2P, MD) Full Financial Statements understanding Good Business/Commercial understanding and curiosity Working well independently Proactivity, initiative-taker, solution oriented Good technical skills and solid knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP, or ERP equivalent Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls with a continuous improvement mindset Resilience and quick adaptability to changing environment Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and strong understanding of the accounting process and practice in BAT / GBS WE ARE BAT
