As a Database Administrator (DBA) at ThunderSoft, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our database systems, ensuring smooth and secure operations. You will work closely with senior engineers and IT teams to support both our internal and customer-facing systems, contributing to a robust, high-performance technical environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain databases to ensure their stability and optimal performance
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues and implement performance optimizations
Assist in implementing database security policies, safeguarding data integrity and compliance
Provide user support to resolve common database issues
Prepare and update documentation for database operations and maintenance
Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams on database configuration, integration and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for:
Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Minimum 3 years in database management and operations; familiarity with mainstream database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
Strong understanding of database architecture, maintenance and performance optimization
Knowledge of database security practices and ability to enforce policies
Proficiency in troubleshooting database issues and implementing solutions efficiently
Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator or equivalent are a big plus
Effective documentation and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with teams
