An automation-first mentality is the first step for a significant transformation for any organization, starting from simple task automation, moving to complex workflow orchestration and finally provide end-user services via “push-button” features.You will work hand in hand with Platform Services Tribe management team, Product Owners and Architects to develop strategies and to define principles for ING services.Our team’s portfolio is diverse, containing a significant number of projects with a wide span of technologies and platforms like Linux OS, ELK stack, Zabbix, Ansible or Puppet.Your day to dayGet involved in designing, building and maintaining the systemManage and troubleshoot Linux OS, application, and networking issues.Install, maintain, troubleshooting, update and upgrade Linux Operating System and application software.Monitor system, application, and performance/availability.Automate all parts of the system, from deploying to self-healing mechanisms.Increase our platform adoption of core automation toolset and servicesImprove our infrastructure, monitoring, tooling and continuous delivery processesResearch, identify and drive opportunities to improve automationTroubleshoot and solve any encountered issues across our technology stack focusing on permanent fixes and automation instead of point-fixes.Plan for system and software upgrades for projected growth and new projects.Monitor and respond to problems reported.Provide architectural guidance and implementation expertise.Support our platform users and consumers.Document systems designs, business requirements, technical interpretation and security guidelines.Job requirementsKnowledge and experience:Proven experience on a similar role for at least 5+ yearsLinux OS – advance experience required 5+ years.Practical experience with Configuration Management tools: Puppet, Ansible, Ansible TowerPractical experience with Big Data (Elasticsearch - ELK stack)Practical experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, update and upgrade for the Linux OS and applications.Practical experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, Elastic APM or equivalent tech)Scripting and/or programming experience with one of the following: Python, Bash, RubyNetworking knowledge & troubleshooting tools (operating system, network, storage)Understanding of networking concepts and internet protocolsKnowledge of web/application serversExperienced in working in a complex environment following Agile methods.24x7 mindset and are willing to participate in a stand-by shift, knowing that ING operates a 24x7 business for its customers.Nice to haveExperience with databases is a plus.Experience with virtualization, Public or Private Cloud Providers (Azure, VMware)Experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration pipelines (Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps)Experience with software development IDEsEverything as code and everything as a service mind setExperience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift).What we offerImpactful work in a fun and collaborative environment;Open-concept offices designed for both team work and relaxation;Corporate events and social gatherings;Hybrid way of working with flexible working schedule and short week options;Monthly budget on Benefit platform;Extra annual leave days depending on the total length of working experience;Growth opportunities through upskilling/ reskilling programs and a variety of learning and development platforms: ING Learning Centre, Udemy, Bookster, as well as through trainings and certifications;Possibility to access Internal roles, International Short-Term Assignments or Long-Term Assignments;Context to make an impact through Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility projects.
