Overall Objective of the RoleThe DevOps Specialist - CI/CD works closely with telematics and expandability hardware and testing software. This position helps define, design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation tests for how the hardware interacts with the vehicle, the data, and the backend systems in the automated test environment.The DevOps Specialist will consistently demonstrate our Partner’s core values in all daily work and interactions and will be responsible for the contribution and maintenance of the departmental Wiki.As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and secure work environment, the successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background check. This process involves verifying your employment history, education, criminal record, and other relevant factors to assess your suitability for this project.Responsibilities Define, design and implement end-to-end continuous integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines.Implement effective build procedures, CI/CD pipelines to enable builds, tests and deployments to ensure scalability and performance for embedded systems.Ensure seamless integration and deployment using GitLab for CI/CD.Excellent collaboration abilities with an ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.Build, maintain, and enhance tools that streamline and automate all forms of testing relevant to the feature or product using C, C++, python, pytest and other relevant technology/tools.Demonstrate best practices of CI/CD, test framework and guide team members on automated testing tools and techniques.Proactively monitor logs and create scripts to scrape logs and report issues.Proactively identify improvement opportunities in product development and quality assurance processes.Work with other embedded development teams effectively to converge to common tools and practices.Stay current with new testing technologies. RequirementsMust have: University Degree/Diploma with specialization in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or another related Degree/Diploma.5+ years of experience developing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.5+ years of experience working with Linux and Bash.Strong working experience with Python programming language for automation.Proficient in troubleshooting and root cause analysis within complex distributed systems.Hands-on with Linux boxes (bare metal + VM) for infrastructure setup and maintenance.Strong understanding of embedded build systems and hands on with automating the build scripts.Experience with containers.Understand the core tenets of software development, able to write reliable automation tests & scripts, and modify application code for test automation.Understanding and exposure to a wide array of QA practices, processes, and tools.Good understanding of test methodologies and experience with integration, subsystem, end-to-end and stress tests using automation.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. Nice to have: Ansible experience.Exposure and/or experience with SCRUM.Expertise in automation testing for UI/API/Web Services within embedded software systems.Good command over programming languages like Groovy, C/C++.Pytest experience.
