DevSecOps Engineer Location: London/ Chesterfield/ Remote Grade: 3A Salary: Competitive plus excellent benefits Contract type: Permanent Purpose of the role: The Post Office is undergoing a Retail and Technology transformation, one of the largest in Europe. Principle Accountabilities: As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with developers, security teams, and IT operations to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security of our software products, ensuring that security is integrated throughout the development process, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential security risks. Up to 10% on target bonus opportunity Private healthcare Generous pension contribution Life assurance Income protection after 12 months service Qualifications, Experience & Skills: To be successful in this role, you will be a confident DevSecOps Engineer with experience of working within a forward-thinking technology function with the ability to converse effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. In addition, you will demonstrate a significant track record across the following Tech Stack: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in a DevSecOps or related role. Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools. Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure). Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK). Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with a modern programming language, e.g. C#, Java, C++, Go, Rust etc (We use Go + Typescript). Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO , PCI DSS, GDPR).
