JOB FUNCTION- Direct, monitor and supervise the day-to-day activities of all sections within the Front Office and the services rendered by other operational departments of the Hotel.- Monitor the junior staff on their conduct and progress.- Ensure that guests are attended to with promptness, courtesy and efficiency and that guest’s complaints are handled with tact and diplomacy.- Assist in checking in / out of guests.- Required to inspect rooms assigned to VIPs before their arrival, meet and escort them to their rooms and ensure that the complimentary amenities are provided.- Check housekeeping discrepancy report and to report any variance and take corrective action.- Authorize rate and room changes, paid outs, cash advances, acceptance of cheques according to procedures and credit policies.- Initiate correspondence regarding enquiries, reservations, and complaints.- Work closely with Reservations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and trains them in areas where they are lacking.- Coach and train Tour Coordinator to enable them to function effectively. Requirements: Fluent in English & German is a must. Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage;Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management is a plus;Substantial exposure in reservations department of 4 or 5 star hotels;Sound knowledge of service in all sub areas (Bell, Concierge, Reception, Cashiering, Night Audit, Reservations, Business Centre);Familiar with Microsoft office;Able to work with various ethnic backgrounds;Ability to train and develop. !
