We are looking to break through established siloes and provide creative but scientifically rigorous solutions for our clients.  We are looking for a data scientist/econometrician based in Romania to join our team immediately toestimate econometric models to evaluate causal relationshipsimplement machine learning-based advances in conjunction with standard statistical modeling predict customer behavior and economic trends using the latest time-series approacheswork closely with our data engineering team in optimizing data infrastructure for various analytic tasks; improve training sets, investigate anomalies, functionalize data wrangling, and optimize the performance of existing models.  Your ExperienceA strong academic education in a quantitative applied field (Econometrics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, etc.) Proven expertise in econometrics, statistics, data science, analytics, machine learning/AIDeep understanding of econometric/statistical algorithms for solving complex problems: regression modeling, high-dimensional modeling, causal inference, time series modeling, random forests, deep learning, spatial modelingProven expertise in areas related to program evaluation, experimental design, panel data modeling, randomized controlled trials, treatment effects estimation/causal inference (DiD, RD, heterogeneity)Expertise in a statistical language (Python or R) and appropriate data science libraries; Stata only in addition to another languageProficient with database querying (SQL), manipulating and analyzing large, high dimensional, structured, & unstructured datasetsProven ability to communicate verbally and in writing to technical peers  Your Personality Quick and independent learnerRigorous and detail-oriented scientific thinkerTeam playerMotivated and inquisitive problem solver BenefitsWe are hiring worldwide, so we cannot add specific compensation here.
