A Snapshot of Your DayThe EHS Site Manager drives implementation of the Siemens Energy EHS Policy and Zero Harm Program and supports the business throughout the various phases of erection and commissioning activities at large and complex construction sites to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external rules & regulations to prevent EHS related hazards and risks. This includes support of the project and site management in planning, implementing and monitoring EHS procedures and rules, reporting of relevant KPI’s and ensuring a continuous improvement. The EHS Site Manager establishes the EHS management system for the construction site which meets internal, customer, regulatory and business needs and oversees its implementation.How You’ll Make an Impact Planning- Identifies EHS related statutory and Customer requirements, rules & regulations and EHS aspects.- Performs and supports risk assessments and defines mitigation measures.- Develops an emergency management concept for the construction site. - Establishes an EHS Management System on site based on company standards and processes.Implementation- Supports site management to ensure that required EHS-related permits, authorizations, certificates are available, and authorities have been notified as necessary.- Manages and guides the EHS team at site.- Implements a training concept, that fulfills all EHS related training requirements.- Ensures that requirements of the EHS plan are known by all relevant stakeholders.- Implements specific EHS SE instructions for site related activities.- Ensures that risk assessments are carried out to the highest standards and reviews EHS documentation provided by the Contractors.- Liaises with customer/contractor representatives in regard to project execution and onsite EHS issues. - Provides oversight and support for site access and security controls.Monitoring and Reporting - Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks and defines corrective measures. - Provides regular EHS reports to the project and/or site manager to ensure full operational transparency. - Ensures all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented, and monitored. - Plans and conducts assessments of (sub-)contractor EHS performance. - Escalates in case of non-compliance with legal, business or customer´s EHS requirements. - Analyzes statistics including near misses to identify trends and implements counter measures.Continuous improvement - Promotes the sharing of best practices and documents lessons learned. - Updates and amends EHS plan and associated documents if necessary. - Evaluates contractors in terms of their EHS performance and provides feedback to project procurement manager.What You Bring-Minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of occupational safety.-Mandatory site related experience from industrial and/or construction business or similar. -Working experience in global projects and/or interdisciplinary teams preferred.-Willingness to travel globally for medium and long assignments.
