At KONE, we help people move smoothly and safely through urban environments. We’re now looking for a hands-on Elevator Field / Service Technician to join our team in Romania. This is a practical, field-based role where you’ll test and commission elevators, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance standards.
What You’ll Do:
Test and commission elevators on-site to ensure full compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory requirementsWork closely with installation teams and site personnel to confirm elevator readinessConduct electrical safety checks and mechanical tests as per EN81, Lift Directive, and other local standardsRecord and report all measurements and findings, highlighting any issues for corrective actionsPerform final inspections and provide snagging lists to support handover and quality closureEnsure safety for all site personnel and the public during testing and commissioning workTake part in discussions and reviews to continuously improve processes and standardsWhat We’re Looking For:
A hands-on, practical mindset with strong technical skillsHigh attention to detail and safety-focused working styleAbility to collaborate with various on-site roles, such as Installation Supervisors and Project ManagersBasic computer literacy for documentation and reporting tasksValid driving licence and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within RomaniaPrevious experience in elevator testing, commissioning, or installation is a plus.
