As an Engineering Delivery Manager, your challenge will consist of:
Working as a technical manager across the Project Engineering Lifecycle: development activities, risks and opportunities, schedules, etc.Translating needs into requirements and building the development strategy (“problem scoping phase”)Structuring and mastering the delivery processMastering the technical debt, the co-contracting and subcontractingFacilitating collaborative work across teams and stakeholdersProviding the best engineering solutions for customers, being in close touch with them and being the quality guarantee of the engineering solutions provided to the customersContributing to the future products of Thales groupWorking on complex, disruptive and stimulating projectsProfile
You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in UniversityYou have a minimum of 5 years’ experience among the following positions: Engineering Manager, IT / Technical Project Manager, or Software Engineering Manager (SwEM)You want to lead a technical team in a challenging environmentYou want to delight your customers and build strong relationshipsYou are willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approachesYou believe in continuous improvement and work accordinglyYou sound convincing and persuasiveCompetencies
Required:
You know how to verify the technical deliverables of engineering teams (customer needs, requirements, architecture choice…)You are able to lead and manage technical engineering projects, meeting the requirements with a clear view of the risks and opportunitiesYou are able to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders as well as creating clear and achievable goalsYou are able to take decisions - even in uncertain contextsYou have facilitation skills to handle workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and scopeYou have knowledge of configuration and change management tools (e.g. JIRA)You have been active in communities (e.g. Project Management communities) and deployed best practicesYou have experience in facing and mitigating risk, anticipating issues and creating opportunities.Nice to have (considered a big plus):
