An ambitious project based on technologies like IBM InfoSphere (DataStage and Information Governance Catalogue), Linux, Cognos and Oracle.As Dev Engineer you will be working in a scrum team consisting of a product owner, Business Analist Engineers and Dev Engineers. The members of the Tribe are in The Netherlands, India and Romania.You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying IBM Information Server artefacts, mainly involving DataStage. Maintaining the applications running in our Data Lake including incident management and bug fixing is also part of your job.We seek enthusiastic ETL engineers with passion for data, knowledge and experience in data management!Your day to dayEven if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:Development of ETL flows using IBM Datastage 11.7 / Oracle DBUnderstand the Logical Data Model and Physical Data ModelUnderstand the concepts and the business value of the data that is processedIntegrate data from different source systems in the Information WarehouseBuild Data Marts in alignment with the business needsPerform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL processes according to business requirementsContribute to deployment of code changes, mappings and metadataThe role requires occasional travel to Belgium or NetherlandsWhat you’ll bring to the teamExperience:Tech stack/ knowledge:Mandatory:Experience with ETL processes and toolsExperience with Data Warehouse conceptsGood knowledge of SQL and database conceptsExperience with Linux operating systemExperience with Business Intelligence toolsWiliness to learn and experiment with new technologiesForeign languages: English (advanced)Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
