The "IT Finance Fundamentals and Applications" department forms the interface between IT and the specialist departments and is responsible for the procurement of hardware and software. IT contract and license management, IT principles, IT security and data protection are also tasks of the department. Applications in the areas of budget planning and financial services, purchasing and procurement management products as well as around 20 other specialist processes, many of them city-wide, are provided and supported.
