Finance officer - Partners - Romania in Bucuresti

Responsibilities: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES1-Partners Assessment/Due diligence Conduct Partners assessments in collaboration with Partnership department using approved assessment toolsFollow-up on assessment reports to ensure compliance with WVI policies and donor’s regulations.Ensure Proper screening/due diligence before in boarding of partners in WVI systems2-Partners Funding, Review and ReportingEnsure Partners are funded timely as per the agreement and properly recorded in the accounting systemReview/ verify partner expenditure reports, remotely (desk review) and/ direct visits, and provide review report with recommendations to project manager and supervisor.Ensure that all partnership expenditure spend is compliant with WVI and donor policies.Review the partners expenditures, ensure proper coding and prepar data entry vouchers for upload in the accounting system.Ensure account clearance and reconciliation for partner’s advances is done in the system on monthly basis.Maintain partnership tracker and update it regularly.Review partner’s proposal budget to ensure costing is appropriately allocated to activities.Ensure that all partnership financial information is stored in a proper filing system.Prepare Partners’ entries adjustments and re-allocation as requested by Supervisor and Project ManagersEnsure accurate and timely review of financial data for completeness and correctness.3-Capacity building, Audit and MonitoringConduct and coordinate training and capacity building to partner finance and non-finance staff through face to face training and remote support.Conduct regular visit to Partners offices to review documentation and financial monitoringPerform desk reviews and spot check of Partners documentationsPrepare and coordinate external and Internal Audits for PartnersRespond to audit queries and requirements in adequate manner4-Perform other duties as requiredAttend and participate in WVI spiritual nurture and other organizational events.Perform other duties as assigned by the Line ManagerKNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLEMinimum 2 years of experience in accounting position with medium business/medium NGO/government agencyExperience with humanitarian aid in-country is a plus.Required Education, training, license, registration, and certificationDegree or equivalent in accounting and finance or any relevant fieldPractical knowledge of financial basics.Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required.Effective in written and oral communication in Romanian, working knowledge of English.Requires good computer skills (Excel, World, Spreadsheets).Must be self-motivated, innovation, able to work under pressureBasic understanding of business principles.Be organized, accurate and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Preferred Knowledge and QualificationsRequires good computer skills (Excel, World, Spreadsheets).Must be self-motivated, innovation, able to work under pressureBasic understanding of business principles.Language Requirements: English, Romanian
