Java Developer (Hybrid - Belgium)
About the Role
Join the Team and play a key role in migrating critical government applications from a private cloud to Microsoft Azure. As a Medior Java Developer, you will help build a secure, scalable, and high-performance data integration platform rooted in DevOps principles. Your work will support digital transformation initiatives that impact public services like low-emission zones, student allowances, and COVID attestations.
What You'll Do
Prepare existing Java applications for migration to a public cloud environment
Collaborate with the DevOps lead to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Enhance platform security, reliability, and scalability
Define and implement best practices for testing, development, and operations
Must-Have Skills & Experience (3+ years minimum):
Strong Java development skills (Java/J2EE)
Experience with Spring Boot framework
Proficient in REST & SOAP API development
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
Comfortable working in Agile teams
Fluency in Dutch (C2 level)
Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience
Nice-to-Have:
Kubernetes knowledge
OAuth authentication experience
Ability to debug, test, and manage tasks independently
