You will be working on Front End Development to conceptualize, build and maintain web user interfaces. You will shared web components for Akamai's Control Center. In this role you will work closely with your immediate development team and the larger engineering organization.Partner with the bestYou will work in a collaborative capacity to translate visual design specifications and requirements into a fully functional UI for web app using HTML/CSS and JavaScript. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related work experience. Be excited to build and maintain web UIs and components for Akamai's Control Center.As a Front End Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:Building powerful yet easy to use next generation web applications. Achieve a consistent user experience across the multiple applications of Akamai's Control CenterContributing to a library of common components and development toolingUtilizing pixel-perfect layout skills and hand coding of both simple and complex cross-browser and cross-platform solutionsExecuting in a multi environment in tight collaboration with other engineering teams. (QA, UX, Product Management, and Technical Writers)Contributing to all aspects of the project lifecycle: define, design, develop, and testProviding upper-tier technical support for customer issuesDo what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:Be familiar with professional HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with Angular or a leading JavaScript frameworkBe passionate about UI / UX and be willing to advocate for the end-user / customerPossess a clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Source Code Management Systems (we use git).Be Familiar with software testing concepts including unit, functional , regression continuous integration, and performance testing
