Job Description
Here is what you will do:
Design and Engineering:
- Develop detailed designs for new transmission lines and modifications to existing lines.
- Perform structural and electrical analysis to ensure transmission line stability and performance.
Project Management:
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of transmission line projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion and prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and resource allocation plans.
System Analysis and Optimization:
- Conduct planning and analysis studies for transmission lines.
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and reliability of transmission systems.
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NESC), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Field Support and Inspection:
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning of transmission lines.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards, address and resolve field issues related to transmission line installations.
Qualifications
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in transmission line design, analysis, or construction.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong understanding of electrical and structural principles related to transmission lines.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, PowerWorld).
