We are looking for someone to provide HR advice to a range of global clients relating to Employment Laws in Romania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for all HR related questions throughout the worker life cycle
- Work with the Operations Team to ensure successful onboarding for all new GEO workers
- Proactively support the delivery of all the GEO HR processes encompassing handbooks, policies, practices and procedures, ensuring legal compliance
- Develop and maintain all types of contracts of employment (Starters, Leavers, Extensions and employment transfers) ensuring legal compliance
- Manage complex HR projects/issues with Worker(s)/Clients. Including but not limited to Performance Management, terminations & transfer of employment
- Advise clients where necessary on workers career progressions and promotions
- Advise clients where possible on salary analysis & recommendations
- Worker offboarding (voluntary & involuntary) along with retirements
- Advise and support Management in HR related responsibilities
- Apply and update, when needed, HR policies, procedures and work conditions as well as ensuring their communication and compliance
- Maintain employees’ personal data as per local laws
- Participate in different projects, as requested by the immediate line manager
- Actively identify gaps in processes and make recommendations/implement changes necessary to mitigate risk
- Proactively support the GEO Team and Line Management with regular updates on employment law
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to internal teams including Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Line Management as and when requested
- Work with associated benefit providers to provide legally compliant benefit packages for all workers and provide benefit costing updates to Supply Chain and Line Management
- Manage the monthly payroll for all workers with our local payroll partner ensuring legal compliance
- Key Skills Required:
- 3-5 years Romanian Labor Law Experience
- HR experience; Management of Employment Terminations is essential
- Fluent in Romanian & English is essential
- Experience in advising on complicated Employment Relations Issues
- Analytical and Problem-Solving
- Recognized interpersonal skills, team spirit and collaboration skills
- Focused on results, ability to manage priorities and respect deadlines; good planning and organizational skills and rigor at work;
- Excellent aptitude for communication and interpersonal relations with managers and employees of different disciplines and cultures;
- Attention to detail but able to look at things holistically to see the bigger picture
- Payroll experience is desirable
- Professional qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, in Human Resources Management or in a related field - A minimum of five (3) to five (5) years of experience as a generalist in a Human Resources role, preferably in a company of international scope;
- Knowledge of the legislations and rules applicable to fields of responsibilities
- Excellent ability to communicate in Romanian (Essential) and English (Essential) (spoken and written)
- Excellent knowledge of the MSOffice applications
