The Private Networks Line of Business at Ceragon Networks specializes in integrating best-of-breed partner technologies and solutions to architect and deliver comprehensive, tailor-made connectivity solutions for enterprise and operator customers. Position Overview
We seek an Innovation Labs Expert to drive advanced technical innovation, prototype complex multi-vendor solutions, and collaborate closely with our Solution Architects and regional sales teams to deliver proof-of-concepts and customer-facing demonstrations that validate next-generation wireless architectures.
This is a highly technical individual contributor role for an engineer with 10+ years of hands-on expertise in telecom systems, who thrives in a small, determined team environment and can independently own the full lifecycle of lab initiatives—from concept through field validation. As a member of the innovation labs team, you will serve as a technical authority for the Private Networks Line of Business, combining deep protocol knowledge, broad technology mastery, and the ability to synthesize insights into compelling customer narratives that drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Technical Development & Innovation
Architect, prototype, and validate complex multi-vendor integration scenarios, identifying optimal technology combinations and demonstrating seamless interoperability across diverse ecosystem partnersConduct deep research on emerging wireless technologies (5G SA/NSA, private networks, network slicing, ML-driven optimization, advanced RF/mmWave, satellite integration, network security paradigms) to stay ahead of industry trends and inform integration strategiesDesign and execute rigorous testing protocols—including system validation, feature testing, UAT, interoperability testing (IOT), protocol-layer analysis, fault replication, and performance benchmarking—across 4G/5G stacks, point-to-point/multipoint wireless, WiFi, proprietary protocols, mmWave, and emerging technologiesTroubleshoot complex integration issues at the protocol, architecture, and deployment levels; replicate field-identified problems in controlled lab environments and develop solutions, workarounds, or escalations to vendor engineering teamsCustomer-Focused Solution Development & Technical Authority
Collaborate closely with regional Solution Architects and sales teams to translate customer requirements into lab-validated proof-of-concepts that demonstrate technical feasibility, architecture alignment, and performance metricsLead end-to-end PoC development, working in tandem with Solution Architects to ensure alignment with customer business objectives and optimal integration strategiesServe as the technical authority for the Private Networks Line of Business, providing deep expertise and authoritative guidance on multi-vendor architecture, integration approaches, and technology decisionsDeliver compelling technical presentations and live demonstrations to customers—both remote and on-site—that effectively communicate architecture decisions, integration methodology, feature capabilities, performance metrics, and business valueConduct technical deep-dives with Solution Architects and customers to validate integration points, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure solution fit before field deploymentLab Operations & Strategic Execution
Own all aspects of lab implementation and commissioning—equipment procurement coordination, configuration, integration workflows, and optimization to ensure labs remain state-of-the-art for multi-vendor testingMaintain comprehensive lab documentation, including test procedures, integration architectures, interoperability findings, lessons learned, and best practices that enable knowledge transfer and continuous improvementDrive continuous methodological improvement in testing rigor, lab efficiency, and innovation processes; establish standards for multi-vendor integration validation, protocol analysis, and interoperability verificationSupport field deployment activities in partnership with the systems engineering team, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and rapid issue resolution in live customer environmentsCollaborate with Solution Architects, product engineering, and senior management to share findings, insights, and strategic recommendations that inform go-to-market decisions and customer solution strategiesTechnical Leadership & Collaboration

What are we looking for
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong technical foundation is also acceptableExperience:
10+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications innovation, lab environments, R&D, systems integration, or multi-vendor solution architecture rolesCore Technical Expertise:
Deep, practical knowledge across multiple domains in wireless telecommunications (hands-on experience required, not theoretical). You should have strong expertise in most of the following areas; it is acceptable if you are not an expert in all of them, provided deep gaps do not span multiple critical domains.
