Your day to day:As a NAO IoT Technical Support Specialist you will be responsible of supporting and improving IoT operational activities, from a technical and process point of view. You will be part of a team of expert engineers responsible for the Vodafone IoT platform (GDSP - Global Data Service Platform) and surrounding network elements. The Vodafone IoT platform - which has been named by Gartner as a Leader in its 2021 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services - continuosly evolves and allows you to work with the most recent technologies and bring innovation within the Operational organization.As a NAO IoT Technical Support Specialist you will be responsible of supporting and improving IoT operational activities, from a technical and process point of view. You will be part of a team of expert engineers responsible for the Vodafone IoT platform (GDSP - Global Data Service Platform) and surrounding network elements. The Vodafone IoT platform - which has been named by Gartner as a Leader in its 2021 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services - continuosly evolves and allows you to work with the most recent technologies and bring innovation within the Operational organization..The role requires a set of technical, organizational, analytical and communication skills which are needed to coordinate IoT technical topics with second line operations and in collaboration with Vodafone IoT engineering, security and business teams. The role may require customer interaction: to understand their requirements, IoT processes, drive improvement plans and support complex customer operational topics.Daily activities:Track, escalate and plan for the remediation of complex technical blockers.Manage IoT vendors from a technical point of view – monthly review meetings. Provide feedback to engineering/vendor about IoT products and solutions.Identifies improvement opportunities across IoT Operations - analysis of incidents, changes and other operational activities.Lead improvement streams and works together with IoT operational teams to implement the needed measures.Attend customer service review meetings and drive improvements/requirements.Lead complex customer and platform technical issues. Support remediation plan and change management process.May be required to support on call complex change activities.Mandatory skills:We are looking after a candidate which has 1-2 years’ experience in an IoT technical or IT/Telecom operational environment:Technical University Degree (Telecom, Computer Engineering, Cybernetics). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills, as well as a customer-oriented attitude with the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment. (essential)Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive (essential)Knowledge of work experience with at least one key technology area that makes up the IoT solution. (essential)Ability to understand restrictions and priorities, to balance conflict situations, taking into account operational and business aspects. (essential)Technical understanding of the key technologies that make up the IoT solution (telecom PS, IP, CS, Linux, DB’s, AWS). (preferably)Experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies. (preferably)Experience working with customers (preferably)Subject matter expert in complex technical environments, with the ability to communicate clearly in a non-technical language.
