IoT VAS Engineer in Bucuresti

Our Exciting Opportunity!We are now looking for a VAS Engineer. Your main responsibility is to support the production of the VAS systems of the Ericsson Device Connection Platform (machine-to-machine services). You should have a good knowledge of VAS area, on a technical extent. Included in the scope is also maintenance of auxiliary equipment with purposes like back-up, log management, network performance monitoring and management. Previous Ericsson technical node knowledge is needed since training will be offered, but to a limited extent, while the candidates are encouraged to be up and running within weeks of optimally being offered the role. You will:Administrate, supervise and troubleshoot of VAS nodes like SMSC, GMPC, Radius, Provisioning Gateway, Terminal Servers, Network Time Protocol servers;Do management and implementation of new automatic scripts;Verify and support the implementation of configuration changes at the request of the customer or when is needed for performance reasons;Impact analysis for standard/emergency changes;Coordinate and work together with other teams such as 3rd line of support, Engineering, R&D;Provide work instructions and improvements of the processes;Actively participate and contribute in the problem management process when vital;Cover 24x7 On-Call duty on request to give support for the 1st level, assurance teams. To be successful in the role you must have!Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience;At least 3 years of working experience in the core network implementation area;Experience with Voicemail, MMS, SMS, Linux, SQL;Experience or to be willing to learn how to operate the following products: Alcatel, Huawei;Nokia equipment experience is a plus;Be proficient in written and spoken English. What´s in it for you?
