They're a leader in the haulage and transportation sector and are looking to continue their growth. My client is a British train operating company that has operated the franchise since the early 90's.Job Responsibilities/Objectives:1. Be involved in the design and creation of strategic plans to ensure that business and customer network capacity meets existing and future requirements.2. Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment as well as develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, for network resource administration.3. Establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software and devices.4. Active involvement in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executable. Required Skills/Experience:1. Good experience with Cisco networking and Meraki SDWAN, HP Switches and Firewalls with deep knowledge in the areas of Switch and Firewall management2. Extensive experience in monitoring networks, with the use of tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds and SNOW.3. Strong experience with management and configuration of enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc4. Hands on experience troubleshooting network hardware and excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards.Desirable Skills/Experience:1. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.2. Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards.3. Experience installing network cabling and patching telephony systems.4.
