Job Description Java Developer We are currently looking for a Java developer who can join our agile team. The candidate should have experience building web applications using Java. We are looking for people who are willing to work in a fast-paced environment, keep up with the demands of the team and work in an always evolving automotive industry. Position summary Design and implement REST APIs for Applications/Modules in our technical infrastructure Develop code that is modular, scalable, high performance and to high-quality standards Implement/code solutions, including integration and unit tests Review design and code with team members Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the team’s processes and development practices Communicate effectively with different levels of management and different departments Basic Qualifications 3+ years of backend developer using Java 2+ experience with Java frameworks like Spring/SpringBoot Framework or equivalent 2+ experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate or equivalent Proficiency with algorithms, data structures and other Computer Science concepts Experience working with build tools like Maven, Gradle Experience with building REST APIs Knowledge of SQL scripting Good software design skills Familiarity with Git, JIRA, BitBucket Experience in working with an Agile Scrum framework Bachelors or MS in Computer Science / Engineering or related field We value Experience working with CI tools like Jenkins/Team City Knowledge of features introduced in Java 8 Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools Knowledge of best practices when writing integration and unit tests Previous experience with development of applications deployed in AWS environment Experience in working and coordinating with cross functional teams Ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in technical communication Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work collaboratively
