ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) for every employee at least 26 days of paid personal time off 100% paid sick leave Private health and life insurance Multisport card English lessons Freedom to choose the form of employment We are a remote-first company – where you work from is up to you  Flexible working hours Once a quarter off-site trips for the whole team Home Office bonus for starters   What will you do as Test Automation Engineer at Oxla?   Develop various kinds of automated tests for a distributed analytical database engine: Highly parameterized integration tests confirming SQL subset conformance Example datasets and queries submitted by internal and external clients Stress tests checking the behavior of the database cluster in abnormal scenarios Checking behavior of the database cluster under heavy workload (large amounts of data/numerous concurrent clients) Performance benchmarks Design and implement new automated testing and bench-marking suites Coordinate and consult with the team on how to test newly implemented system features and interfaces Use the database on a daily basis, checking regular and extreme use cases to demonstrate its possibilities and identify potential flaws Identify misbehavior of the database, communicate found defects, monitor its resolution Perform code reviews in the testing scope Participate in the Scrum Events in weekly sprints What is a must-have to do the job effectively? Strong SQL skills and an understanding of database systems (experience in Postgres SQL would be a plus) A minimum 1 year of experience with automated testing frameworks Proficiency in Python, particularly in the context of writing and managing automated tests Basic Linux familiarity Basic Docker familiarity Basics of relational databases Communicative spoken and written English (B2+) Proactive and goal-oriented approach Actively communicating with other members of the distributed development team Ability to clearly and precisely describe technical issues What will be nice to have that you can bring to the table? Experience with advanced Postgres SQL features Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Experience working in a Scrum Team
