Job Title: Mid–Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: On-site, Bucharest (5 days/week)

Role Overview
Responsible for the administration, stability, performance, and security of enterprise-grade database environments. The role requires hands-on ownership of production systems, close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams, and on-site availability five days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database platforms in production and non-production environments
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of databases through proactive monitoring and tuning
- Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Diagnose and resolve complex database incidents, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity issues
- Collaborate with application teams on schema design, query optimization, and release support
- Implement and enforce database security, access control, and compliance best practices
- Automate routine DBA tasks and contribute to operational efficiency
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation and critical incident response when required
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator in production environments
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g / 12c / 19c); multi-version environments preferred
- Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
- Proven experience with backup and recovery (RMAN), performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and database-level scripting
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of database operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-availability setups (RAC, Data Guard)
- Exposure to other database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL)
- Experience supporting mission-critical or regulated environments
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
- Prior experience working in B2B or consultancy-based engagements
