Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic Tech team. The successful candidate will provide day‑to‑day operational support for global network security services, including incident management, change management, service requests and production troubleshooting across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role includes operating security technologies such as firewalls, proxy, WAF, DLP, VPN and IDS/IPS to protect internal assets and ensure service continuity worldwide, while supporting IT teams on security‑related topics and projects.
Details:
As the first point of contact for operational requests, the engineer ensures secure, reliable 24/7 access to and availability of critical systems. This includes processing daily changes, responding to incidents, supporting problem management and handling requests raised to the team. Under the Tech Lead’s supervision, the engineer qualifies, assigns and/or distributes tickets across the team and ensures a high level of service for SCOR users and the IT Group.
A key responsibility of the role is to ensure compliance with internal and external security requirements. The Junior Network Security Engineer will implement, document and monitor security standards within the global security perimeter and drive remediation when deviations are identified. Typical activities include configuration reviews, blueprint documentation, firewall rule reviews and remediation of cloud security posture findings.
The engineer will contribute to the continuous improvement of network security tooling by supporting project specification phases and maintaining technical documentation. The role also includes producing regular activity and security reports, ensuring adherence to operational processes and keeping perimeter and service documentation up to date.
Within the Operational Security team, preventing cybercrime and implementing robust protection practices across all environments—on‑premises, SaaS, private cloud and public cloud—are core priorities. The engineer supports the implementation and maintenance of security controls and contributes to compliance with internal and external security policies.
The Junior Network Security Engineer will be onboarded to SCOR’s global networks, private cloud environments and interactions with public cloud platforms. The role requires close collaboration with network engineers and other technical teams on architecture, modernisation and cross‑domain initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability and scalability of SCOR’s security and network services.
