As an Off-shore Automation Engineer (m/f/d), you will work in a well-coordinated team that takes joy in its tasks, satisfies customers, and celebrates successes together.
In the warranty team, you support the smooth operation of offshore grid connection systems (HVDC) after handover to the customer, including maintenance, modernization, and IT security for critical infrastructure. In a hybrid work environment, you collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams and suppliers to manage the challenges assigned to you.
You will work not only at our office location but also at various customer sites. As part of your onboarding, you will complete an extensive training program tailored to prepare you for future responsibilities.
You work both onshore and offshore at land stations and converter platforms and implement your technical planning in collaboration with our internal departments.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Evaluate and resolve warranty cases in automation and network technology of offshore grid connection systems Diagnose and fix faults in control systems, control & protection, networking components, and peripheral systems Collaborate with teams at your own site and other sites, both within Germany and internationally Interface with project teams from construction/commissioning, platform and HVDC engineering, service departments, subcontractors, and customers Read and assess technical documentation (drawings) and perform corrections (redlining) within your responsibility What You Bring
Bachelor`s degree as an electrical engineer/electronics engineer/automation engineer At least 5 years of professional experience in automation technology Proficient in engineering and commissioning of automation software PCS7 and HMI Additional desirable skills: Simatic S7, T3000, WinCC, COPA-DATA Zenon, or similar Fluent German and good English skills Willingness to travel for national projects and international projects in Northern Europe Assignments both onshore and offshore on HVDC platforms in the North and Baltic Sea A valid driver’s license (comparable Class B) Willingness to get trained for up to 2 years for the upcoming activities in Siemens Energy Office at Hamburg / Germany.
