Your day to day:Primarily engaged and aligned to Pre Sales opportunities in a Programme Design Authority role.Working remotely supporting a chosen channel of client directors and account managers, as part of the bid management team to help negotiate, shape and define future programme and project solutions and pipeline with the customer, the goal of which is to secure a deliverable solution for the customer with Vodafone.Accountable for the compilation of the initial requirement of the programme or project, identification of all key delivery stakeholder groups, engaging their support and buy-in to define and agree an achievable plan, which includes all known assumptions, dependencies, interdependencies, potential risks and threats,Ensuring that the Programme or Project team who deliver the customer solution are fully set up to be successful with the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality criteria agreed with the customer.With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:• Presentation of deals to Senior Management level within Vodafone• Preparation and presentation of deals to Senior Leadership Team and Technology Leadership Team through Deals Governance.• Communicates High Level Vision for the programme or project and the customers “desired” future state. Designs the delivery capability to deliver the programme or project.• Creates a programme/project plan, workpackages identifying the resources required, project interdependencies and critical path, including all the activities that the business need to do to prepare for new technical or business components identifying the projects within the Programme plan• Creates estimated cost & budget plans• Formulates stakeholder communications plans• Clarifies the skills requirements of a programme/project organisation required to successfully deliver the programme or project.• Defines the critical success factors, KPIs and Benefits tracking plans with relevant stakeholders.• Agrees Milestones and Milestone Payments associated for successful delivery• Initiates the programme or project in line with corporate, departmental and customer governance processes• Identifies programme/project level risks• Manages complex, high risk group dynamics, conflicts and concerns to promote win-win outcomes, during the Pre-Sale stages• Ensures that the impact of individual and aggregated risk is understood by individuals with the correct authority, and that the impact of individual and aggregated risk is understood by the relevant stakeholders.• Supports the programme through key governance gates ensuring risks are identified and supports mitigation.• Ensures that strategic outcomes expected by the programme are aligned to benefits realisation plan, and that benefits tracking process is in place and effectively handed over to the programme or project lead.• Initiates the business case for funding the programme including initiating case for prebmobilisation as required.• Maintains a broad understanding of the Vodafone commercial environment, how the organisation sources, deploys and manages external partners and when it is appropriate to use in-house resources.• Develops and manage contracts & relationships with suppliers, in line with Group Procurement standards, to meet critical success factors and agreed targets.With these skills you are a great candidate:• Strong Project Manager experience required, Programme experience desirable, Flexible with the ability to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment• Able to adapt style and apply influencing skills to a range of complex relationships, maintain relationships at senior levels• Able to deliver confident and engaging presentations at the most senior level, drawing on a range of communications techniques to adapt to challenging situations and audiences• Responsible for maintaining relationships at most senior levels, managing complex requirements and ensuring they are delivered.• Has in-depth knowledge of multiple domains and understands the company’s position in the place.• MSP Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner desirable or equivalent industry qualification• PRINCE2 qualified• Proven experience of concurrently managing multiple projects of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.• Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels internally and externally, including excellent customer facing skills (ability to communicate, effectively, with the customer account teams, in addition to end users and technical persons)• Experience in programme and project budget management >£1M OPEX £5m Capex & >£5m Cost of Sales• Understanding of financial accounting including capitalisation and profit and loss• Strong cross-functional working capabilities• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive an effective project team• Understanding and experience of working in a telecommunications environmentSounds like the perfect job?
