What you will be doing As part of the Performance Testing team, you’ll contribute and support the team to deliver its commitments in a predictable way according to the SAFe definition and with the expected quality. The Performance Test Engineer will report to the Performance Test Manager and work closely with each discipline within the Delivery Team to lead day-to-day non-functional testing activities. Design, develop, and execute performance tests using LoadRunner and/or JMeter. Define performance testing goals, objectives, and strategies to meet the needs of the business. Plan and manage performance testing projects, including test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting. Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to understand performance testing requirements. Identifies and classifies risks as they arise and follows plan for risk response and mitigation. Utilize scripting languages, such as LoadRunner's VuGen scripting and/or JMeter's, to develop tests that accurately simulate production workloads. Analyse test results, identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting and provide recommendations for improvements. Work with release teams to setup performance testing environments. Continuously monitor performance testing tools and methodologies to keep up with industry best practices. Mentor and guide junior performance test engineers. What you bring: Expert in relevant tools such as LoadRunner Enterprise and/or JMeter with minimum 3 years in hands-on Performance Testing. Passion about performance testing - intense interest in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of software applications. Good programming skills, like C, Java Script, SQL. Good understanding of requirements. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues. Good problem-solving skills, commitment to detail and the ability to learn quickly Capable of dealing effectively with unexpected situations and overcoming problems. Ability to make decisions, often with limited information, and communicating efficiently to stakeholders. Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive ‘can do’ attitude. Responsive, assertive and drive a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions. Ability to work in fast paced environment. Fluent English (written/verbal) Tech Stack wanted : Virtual User Generator scripting and/or JMeter. Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Java script. SQL knowledge. Windows Services (basic knowledge: IIS, services, check logs). Log monitoring tools experience (Splunk, Sysdig, Grafana, …). Nice to have experience with: Cloud technologies (AWS, OpenShift, …). CI/CD and tools Jenkins. C# and .NET Core programming and PowerShell. MS SQL database.
