As a Senior Naval Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge submarines to the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy. Our clients department handles the most complex ship design and build programs, offering you the opportunity to contribute at every stage of the product life cycle, from early design to build support and commission. Responsibilities: Designing SSN AUKUS, the world's most advanced submarine. Utilizing your expertise in hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, seamanship & outfit, infrastructure, or whole boat design to support major shipbuilding programs. Supporting sea trials, inclining experiments, and other commissioning activities for various submarine classes. Undertaking research and development initiatives to develop world-leading capabilities. Required Skills Essential: Experienced naval architect with a strong understanding of marine design. Chartered Engineer status with RINA. Desirable: Experience in stability or manoeuvring assessments, design, or build support. Strong technical report writing and presentation skills. Previous involvement in defence projects.
